A London music venue has issued an apology after an antisemitic video was allegedly displayed during a Primal Scream concert, sparking concern and outrage. The incident occurred at the Roundhouse in Camden on Monday, where the Scottish band was performing their 25th anniversary show for their album XTRMNTR. During the performance of the song 'Swastika Eyes', a video appeared on screen behind the band, featuring the Star of David intertwined with a swastika, along with images of political figures and destruction in Gaza. The video concluded with the words 'Our government is complicit in genocide'. The venue's spokesperson expressed deep regret and unequivocal apology to those who attended the gig and the wider Jewish community, emphasizing their condemnation of antisemitism in all forms. The Community Security Trust, which offers security and advice to protect British Jews, reported the band to the police and urged the venue to conduct an urgent investigation. Experts have described the imagery as unambiguously racist, dehumanizing, and historically linked to violence against Jewish communities. Primal Scream and the Metropolitan police have been approached for comment.
